Students/Parents/Guardians of Class of 2014:
Senior activities and graduation are just around the corner. As a result, we want all potential graduates to be aware of proper academic behavior and expectations. The students represent an enormous source of pride to our school community, and we want everyone to finish the year on a positive and healthy note. Towards that end, please be mindful of the following:
Ö Some seniors need to be very careful about risking failure and jeopardizing graduation requirements. Sadly, we have individuals who do not graduate with their class as a result of making irresponsible academic choices in the last few weeks of the school year. Let's encourage our students to finish strong.
Ö At the close of each year, s enior final grades are forwarded to colleges. If a student's transcript fails to reflect the grades used for acceptance, the college may rescind its offer of acceptance.
Ö Everyone in our school community must be aware of our clear expectations of our seniors to dress properly and behave appropriately during all of our events. Students should be dressed semi-formally for all senior events. Alcohol, drugs, and irresponsible behavior have no place in any senior activity. There is nothing that could ruin our graduation more than an embarrassing incident, a serious accident, pranks or vandalism. Students who engage in inappropriate behavior may face suspension and not participate in senior activities, including Graduation.
Ö Our graduation ceremony is a celebration for the entire community, so as we celebrate the Graduation Day of the Class of 2014, we must represent our school and community with respect and integrity.
